Dr. Mai Huong Ho-Tran

Mai Huong is a practicing physical therapist and has over 16 years of experience in areas of chronic pain, functional restoration and multidisciplinary care, pediatrics, neuro and out-patient settings in private practice, worker’s compensation and hospital based systems. She is currently the Lead PT for Kaiser Permanente’s Northern California region in chronic pain. She received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Chapman University and her transitional DPT from UCSF/SFSU’s Graduate Program in Physical Therapy. She completed her TPS certification through ISPI and is proud to be a part of the inaugural Pain Sciences Fellowship cohort. She currently serves as clinical faculty for UCSF/SFSU and has guest lectured and taught continuing education courses for Kaiser Permanente locally and regionally, with the American Association of Pain Psychology and multiple community venues for the City of San Jose. Her experience also delves deeply into mindfulness, yoga therapy, Tai Chi, somatic movement retraining and spiritual direction. She is a mother, fisherman, yogi, runner, agent of change and life-long learner.
