Dr. Terry Cox

Terry is a graduate of the University of Missouri Physical Therapy Program and Regis University where he completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has been a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics for over 21 years and is Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through Regis University and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Terry is current in the dissertation phase of hi PhD through Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with his dissertation work being in pain science for the patient with chronic low back pain. He also serves as a mentor for students in the Fellowship in Manual Therapy Program for Regis University. Terry is a Professor of Physical Therapy at Southwest Baptist University, where he teaches orthopedic management of the upper and lower extremities and the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He also teaches advanced orthopedics, pain neuroscience and the manual/manipulative therapy courses. He currently treats patients for Aptitude Physical Therapy in Springfield, Missouri and has also teaches in the physical therapy residency/fellowship programs for Evidence in Motion. Terry has over 30 years of experience in treating patients with neuromusculoskeletal and pain disorders. He enjoys teaching and mentoring his doctoral students and teaching his patients as well as keeping current on the best research available and is involved in several research projects. Terry joined the International Spine and Pain Institute in 2010.
